I wound up fixing the background of this painting by adding an orange wash to it, and I'm really pleased with how it came out! I also added shading to the dress, as well as flesh tones and shading to her skin. Now my biggest question is if I should make the vines on her dress a washed out olive green, or if I should keep closer to the autumn palette of colors and make it a reddish brown or muted red...
