I have a deep love of "useful" gardening (I'm not very good at ornamental!). Since I moved into my home 10 years ago I've slowly turned over part of my backyard to a vegetable garden. We grow tomatoes, squash, pumpkins, onions, peas, brocoli, corn, etc... And one thing that was left over from the previous owners, which was a sweet little peach tree. This year, she surprised us with her biggest peaches ever. There's nothing like fresh peach jam, or warm peach crisp, and the taste of a sun-warmed peach straight off the tree on a hot day is one of the best ever.
